America's Boating Course Sportsmen's Club to Host Boating Safety Class in Spring 2008

The Sportsmen's Club of Lake Vermilion has made arrangements with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary to teach their very popular boating safety class, America's Boating Course, at Lake Vermilion. The instructor will be Tim Engrav, an officer in the Ash Lake U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

This class will provide you and your family the in-depth knowledge you need to operate a boat safely. Many insurance companies offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who successfully complete this course.US Coast Guard Aux Emblem

The class is planned for Saturday, April 12, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Greenwood Town Hall. It will consist of two sessions with a catered lunch between sessions. Coffee and snacks will be available during several breaks. A comprehensive safety manual is provided to each class participant.

UPDATE: Class Postponed Due to Weather. Now Sat, May 3, 2008, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Tower Civic Center. So there's still time to sign up.

The class cost is $40 per person, including coffee, snacks and lunch. Reservations are required.
